Kalpataru Arts is a socio cultural organization founded by Sangita Chatterjee in 2009, which strongly believes that culture is an integral part of a society and it has the power to positively transform the society and can contribute to its holistic growth.Performing arts can bridge the cultural differences between two countries and can bring them closer. At kalpataru we believe that its very important to know the roots of our cultural but its equally important to be exposed to other international art forms to be global and to evolve constantly. So emphasis is given to both , propagating and preserving Indian cultural heritage and to understand International art forms through cultural exchange programs .Kalpataru also plans to undertake therapeutic treatments through dance and music therapy for mentally,physically and emotionally challenged individuals.It is taking the art and culture of India and its training to the economically weaker section (EWS) of the society so that they can take it up as a profession. It is also working towards the welfare of artists community of India who are generally under paid and are economically struggling.

The institute imparts training in Kathak by Sangita Chatterjee and Hindustani Classical Vocal by Mahua Mukherjee.Students are trained here to become professional rather than just a hobby seekers.Yearly exam is being conducted through Prayag Sangeet Samiti.The institution focuses in providing a holistic cultural education to the students rather than training in a particular art form.

Manjari is an annual platform given to the students for them to understand their own strength and weaknesses. Stage has always been a perfect institution in itself whose experience teaches a lot to these budding talents.Slowly and gradually students come out of the stage fright by the time they become professionals. Manjari also gives platform to upcoming artistes.

Kalpataru in its endeavor to revive the age old tradition of bhaithak concerts (in house) has introduced a quarterly series of concerts which will feature upcoming as well renowned artists from different parts of India.Because of its nature of having close audience it becomes very interactive and thus very personal experience.
The Pearl FestivalInternational Dance & Music Festival
Kalpataru plans to organise an international dance and music festival which will bring in worlds best artistic works on stage .It will focus on classical as well as contemporary , solo as well as choreographic work of world renowned artists.
